early morning in St Augustine
frothy wave caps skipping in with tide
mist creates impressionist painting
colors muted blending sea and sky
fishing boats suspended in between

dwindling afternoon sun
casts long shadows on sand
connects with water’s edge
tide lapping at shadows
fading last rays of sun
become one with the sea.
